WATCH: Rep. Drew Darby Updates Chamber on Texas' Plan to Stopping Mass Shooters

SAN ANGELO, TX -- State Representative Drew Darby was invited by the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce to September's Luncheon to give them a legislative update. 

The luncheon started with the chamber welcoming new members including the local church "House of Faith."

Darby then took the stage and gave a full update on everything that happened in the 2019 legislative summit. 

Darby finished the speech by describing the new job he was selected for as the head of the Texas House Select Committee on Mass Violence Prevention and Community Safety. 

Darby said he did not want to be in the committee but due to the extremely of the matter he had to do it. He continued by explaining that a couple of members in the committee have received death threats. 

The luncheon ended with the leader of the House of Faith praying for protection and guidance for Darby and his team.
