You Know It’s Rodeo Time When the Trail Riders Hit Town

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The Santa Fe Trail Riders arrived in San Angelo Thursday afternoon signaling the beginning of the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo on Friday.

The traditional wagon train made its way across the West Texas countryside through ranches in Sterling and Tom Green Counties and into the San Angelo Coliseum Thursday.  

The Santa Fe Trail Riders covered wagon train will spend Friday night at Ft. Concho before participating in the annual Rodeo Parade Saturday morning.  

The San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo hits high gear Friday with stock show events, the opening of the Alon Carnival and the first performance of the rodeo.  

The San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo runs from Friday Feb. 2 through Sunday, Feb. 17.
