SAN ANGELO, TX — The crowd at the San Angelo Rodeo on Wednesday will be treated to an exciting group of competitors — led by the No. 1-ranked bull rider in the world.
Canadian cowboy Jake Gardner, who currently leads the PRCA world standings in bull riding, is part of a loaded lineup in Wednesday’s performance at CRC Roofers Coliseum.
He’ll be joined in bull riding by the No. 5-ranked rider in the world, South Dakota’s Mason Moody.
San Angelo’s own Dylan Hancock will also be competing in tie-down roping. Hancock is ranked No. 6 in the world, which is exactly where he finished at the 2025 National Finals Rodeo.
Hall of Fame barrel racer Sherry Cervi, who is 50 years old, will also be competing. Cervi is a four-time world champion who was inducted into the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame in 2018. She won her last world title in 2013.
In steer wrestling, the world’s No. 2-ranked rider, Louisiana’s Tyler Waguespack, will be competing, along with Coleman’s Walt Arnold.
The No. 4-ranked team roping duo is also in the field — Florida header Dustin Egusquiza and Millsap, Texas heeler JC Flake.
Wednesday’s performance is the second-to-last round before Friday’s finals. The rodeo will conclude this weekend with the all-star Cinch Chute-Out on Saturday and Tejano Day on Sunday.
