WATCH: The Cotton Candy Man Can

SAN ANGELO, TX – One of the biggest debates at the San Angelo Rodeo is what everyone's favorite concessions are. Some will say kettle corn while some may say those juicy cheeseburgers. No matter what you say there is no doubt the cotton candy makes the list.

But behind every good food item, whether big or small, there is a chef putting it all together. For the San Angelo Rodeo, and many other events around the area, the man behind the cotton candy is Sheldon Adams with Shadow Concessions. Adams is the main man behind all the cotton candy made at the Rodeo. He says that he makes around 900-1,200 bags of cotton candy per performance.

His secret on the best cotton candy around? Well, Adams starts his mornings at the coliseum at 9 a.m. on Rodeo days just to make enough cotton candy in time for the evening performance. In the interview above, presented by Angelo MRI, he also shares why making fresh cotton candy daily makes a difference.
