San Angelo Park Improvements Celebrated

SAN ANGELO, TX - The new playground equipment has been installed in Bell Park, and city officials celebrated Monday with a ribbon cutting.

The ribbon cutting was held yesterday, April 22, in honor of the park's completion.

Information states that the playground was installed by City Parks crews and funded by the Alcohol & Drug Awareness Center for the Concho Valley with a $188,000 grant from the Texas Health and Human Services.

The grant is to be used to fund Bell Park and Mountainview Park, which is set to be completed in the fall.

Bell Park is located at 515 Lowrie Ave.

The city also stated earlier that the playground at Unidad Park will have a top seal coat installed on its surface on Thursday, April 25.

Because the coat must cure through the weekend, the playground will reopen on Monday, April 29.
