Portion of 29th Street to be Closed Until Late February

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The City of San Angelo announced Monday that 29th Street will be closed between Martin Luther King Boulevard/Grape Creek Road and North Chadbourne Street until late February.

The closure is for sewer line installation, as well as for ADA ramps and improvements.

Detours will be in place.

Maybe they will remove the ski jumps, ruts, water ponds that Hirschfield steel trucks have created on 29th road base for the last 50 years or maybe not.

They're more concerned about an aging building that gets used for one major event per year. Them goat ropers are serious business now. Who are we to ask for decent roads to drive on.

Has the environmental protection agency been notified? There are distinct ecosystems that have formed in the potholes along 29th street filled with species that have evolved, via intelligent design, to adapt specifically to those spots.
