SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo ISD Board of Trustees will administer oaths of office to elected trustees and begin preliminary discussions on implementing the district’s $397 million bond package during its regular meeting Monday evening.
The meeting is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. at the SAISD Administration Building, 1621 University Ave.
The board will also elect new officers, including president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer, following the recent May 3 election. Trustees Ami Mizell-Flint and Karla Cardenas were elected in contested races, while incumbents Bill Dendle and Dr. Taylor Kingman ran unopposed.
Parkhill Architects will present a proposed bond construction timeline and provide background information on various construction delivery methods, according to information from the agenda.
Another key item involves a proposed adjustment to SAISD’s district boundaries. Trustees will consider a resolution to adopt a new common district boundary line between SAISD and Wall ISD following a property audit by the Tom Green County Appraisal District that revealed inconsistencies. The proposed adjustment follows Texas Education Code Sec. 13.231, which allows minor boundary changes by agreement. If approved, the resolution would authorize the superintendent to negotiate the adjustment agreement with Wall ISD and return it to the board for final consideration.
Other agenda items include:
-
Certification of the May 3 election
-
Setting bell schedules for the 2025–2026 school year
-
Approval of bids for the Child Nutrition Department
-
