Parade Planned to Welcome Kash Nelson Home After Accident

VANCOURT, TX — A drive-by parade is planned for July 12 in Vancourt to welcome Kash Nelson home following his recent accident, according to organizers with Mommy and Me Advocacy of San Angelo.

The Nelson Family Drive-By Parade will begin at 10 a.m., with participants asked to arrive at 9:30 a.m. to line up at the Vancourt Post Office, located at 9538 York Road.

“This will be a heartfelt, drive-by parade to show support, encouragement, and love from the San Angelo community,” Kayleigh Caniglia, speaking on behalf of Mommy and Me Advocacy, stated in an email.

Organizers describe the gathering as a low-stimulation event and ask participants not to use horns or loud noises. Attendees are encouraged to decorate their vehicles, create signs and pictures, and bring bubbles or pinwheels.

Cards and gifts for the Nelson family will be collected before the parade begins.

The event is open to the public, with families, local groups, and neighbors invited to participate.

Mommy and Me Advocacy of San Angelo is hosting the event and has asked for help in spreading the word through community channels.
