SAN ANGELO, TX - A Star-Spangled Banner Concert & Fireworks is today! The festivities begin at 2 p.m. where the trolleys start running all over downtown San Angelo. Park at the San Angelo Convention Center, 501 Rio Concho Dr., or the former Central Freshman Campus, 218 N Oakes St, and catch a trolley from 2 p.m. until 2 a.m. to anywhere in downtown, including:
- Plateau Brewing Co., 214 S Chadbourne St.
- English Newsom Cellars, 16 E. Concho Ave.
- Luxe Seventy Six Boutique, 10 E Concho Ave.
- Stango's Pizza, 208 S. Oakes St.
- Mandala Den, 113 E. Concho Ave.
- The Arc Light Bar & Grill inside the Clarion Hotel, 441 Rio Concho Dr.
- The RiverStage, 16 E Avenue A
The huge show starts at 7 p.m. at the Bill Aylor Jr. Memorial RiverStage, 16 E Avenue A. Gates open at noon to claim your best spot. The show includes:
- 12 Mile
- San Angelo Community Band
- Fireworks fire off with the first shot of the cannons in Neff's Park at about 9:30 p.m. and will last a long time - 20-25 minutes. This is the largest fireworks display west of I-35 in Texas.
- The fireworks afterparty is in all of downtown as the Trolley service will run until 2 a.m.
- The Arc Light Bar & Grill at the Clarion, 441 Rio Concho Dr., will have the rising stars of the band Hooks & the Huckleberries performing immediately after the fireworks at ~ 10:45 p.m.
