San Angelo Suspends Bulk and Recycling Pickup as Landfill Remains Closed to Public

SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo officials announced Monday that bulk trash and recycling services are suspended citywide until further notice, as the city’s landfill remains closed to the public following recent flooding.

Residents are advised to set out regular household trash on their normal collection days and leave it at the curb until picked up. Those without trash bins should place bagged garbage at the curb. Recycling bins may be used temporarily for household trash until recycling resumes.

Republic Services will prioritize collections in neighborhoods hardest hit by the flooding, city officials said.

Residents who have lost their trash cans in the flood can call 325-657-4323 to request a replacement.

Collection schedules and updates are available at sanangelo.gov/trash.
