Volunteers Sought to Help Document Flood Damage in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX - The City of San Angelo is seeking volunteers to assist with logging flood damage entries into the state’s iSTAT system, officials announced Tuesday.

Those interested are asked to meet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, at the H-E-B Community Center located at 4602 Grape Creek Road near the fairgrounds. Volunteers will receive training on the system before being assigned specific areas to canvass.

City officials advise participants to prepare for "lots of walking" and to bring water bottles.

“We have already had great progress from volunteers in logging damage," the city stated. "We’re proud to live in a community where citizens step up to help each other out when it’s most needed."
