SAN ANGELO, TX - Relatives of all Angelo State University students are invited to campus Friday and Saturday, Sept. 19-20, for Family Weekend, highlighted on Saturday by a Ram Jam tailgate event with a free concert and home matchups for the Rambelles soccer team and Rams football team.
Sponsored by ASU's Office of Student Transitions, Family Weekend activities include:
Friday, Sept. 19
- 5-7 p.m.: Dinner at The Caf - ASU cafeteria
- 6:30 - 8 p.m.: Bingo - Houston Harte University Center
Saturday, Sept. 20
- 9-10 a.m.: Breakfast with the President and First Lady - RSVP breakfast with ASU President Ronnie Hawkins and his wife, Maria, in the Houston Harte University Center
- 1 p.m.: Rambelles Soccer vs. Lubbock Christian - LeGrand Soccer Complex
- 3-5 p.m.: Ram Jam - Tailgate party with free food, games and a concert featuring country music artist Kyle Park at the LeGrand Alumni and Visitors Center
- 6 p.m.: Rams Football vs. Western New Mexico - LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Field
Ram Jam and the included concert are also open and free to the public. The ASU Mayer Museum will also be open 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and there is never an admission fee. It is currently featuring the art exhibit, "Curiosity in Motion: The Intersection of Art & Science." A complete schedule of Family Weekend events is available at angelo.edu/familyweekend.
