City Warns of Impostor Posing as Health Inspector

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The City of San Angelo is warning residents and business owners after reports surfaced of an individual attempting to pose as a health inspector.

City officials said health inspectors are required to carry city-issued identification when inspecting any facility or mobile unit. Anyone claiming to be an inspector but unable to present proper identification should not be allowed to proceed.

The city is asking businesses and residents to ask for credentials if approached. Encounters with individuals who cannot provide valid city-issued identification should be reported immediately to the Health Department at 325-657-4493.
