Goodfellow AFB Extends South and Pedestrian Gate Closures

SAN ANGELO, TX — Goodfellow Air Force Base announced Sunday that its inbound South Gate and Pedestrian Gate will remain closed until further notice. The South Gate will only be open for outbound traffic from 3 to 5 p.m. daily.

All personnel and visitors are being directed to use the North Gate for entering and exiting the base. The North Gate will continue operating 24 hours a day.

The base’s Visitor Control Center and Commercial Vehicle Inspection Area will resume normal duty hours starting Monday, Oct. 6, and will close daily at 6 p.m. Officials advised drivers to expect longer wait times and to plan accordingly.

Goodfellow officials said updates will be provided as needed.
