SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo business owner is raising money to commission a mural of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk on the north side of town.

Michael Butler, who leases a shop building at 1015 N. Chadbourne Street, launched a GoFundMe campaign seeking $3,400 to cover the cost of the artwork, including $3,000 for the artist and an additional $400 for primer and anti-graffiti sealer.

As of Friday morning, Butler had raised $1,320 from 18 donations, according to the GoFundMe page. Butler wrote that the mural will be painted on his shop with the building owner’s permission.
