San Angelo Sonic Named Top 50 Nationally in 2025 DR PEPPER SONIC Games

SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo’s Sonic Drive-In on North Bryant has been named one of the Top 50 teams in the country as part of the 2025 DR PEPPER SONIC Games, a national competition recognizing excellence in service, training and teamwork across thousands of stores.

The annual contest evaluates Sonic crews from coast to coast through a series of training challenges, service tests and team-building activities. This year, the Krum, Texas, location won the national title for the second consecutive year, followed by teams in Little Rock, Arkansas, and Sayre, Oklahoma.

While the gold, silver and bronze medals went to those three communities, San Angelo’s North Bryant team was recognized among the nation’s top performers, placing in the elite Top 50. As part of that recognition, the Sonic Foundation donated $10,000 to local classroom projects in San Angelo through DonorsChoose. Across all top teams, Sonic contributed $500,000 to public school teachers.

The DR PEPPER SONIC Games have been held for 31 years and are designed to encourage strong training and highlight Sonic’s customer-service standards. The Top 12 teams advanced to the final round in Nashville, where they competed live in front of industry judges.
