Thanksgiving Meals Planned for Trainees at Goodfellow AFB

SAN ANGELO, TX — Base leaders and local community members will serve Thanksgiving meals to active-duty service members in training on Friday, Nov. 21, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Crossroads, according to a media advisory from the 17th Training Wing.

The event, hosted by Goodfellow’s Chapel staff, is designed for trainees who are unable to travel home for the holiday. The gathering will provide food, fellowship and a place to connect during the Thanksgiving period.

Officials estimate three to four hundred students will attend. Crossroads is operated by chapel staff and serves as a spiritual and social sanctuary for Airmen, Guardians, Soldiers, Marines and Sailors assigned to the base, offering what staff describe as a “home away from home.”
