Storage Units Catch Fire by Lake Nasworthy

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - First responders are battling a structure fire involving multiple storage units this Friday afternoon. 

Authorities were dispatched to the blaze around 2:30 p.m., which is happening right in front of San Angelo Fire Station 8, 7894 Knickerbocker Road.

According to dispatch audio, the fire fully engulfed at least one unit and spread to others nearby. 

Wall and Dove Creek Volunteer Fire Departments were also called to the scene to assist. 

The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office issued a nixel alert at 2:52 p.m. advising drivers to avoid the 7700 block of Knickerbocker Road just north of the airport. 

At this time, no injuries are being reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation. 

This is the second major fire that crews have battled today, with the first being a vehicle fire at a San Angelo car dealership.
