Concho Valley Groups Seek Urgent Donations for Homeless

SAN ANGELO, TX — The United Way of the Concho Valley and Concho Valley Community Action Agency are urgently seeking donations of blankets, towels, hygiene items, laundry detergent and shelf-stable snacks to support people experiencing homelessness. 

Donations are needed by noon Thursday, Jan. 22, at the Concho Valley Community Action Agency office, which will serve as the drop-off point. 

Organizers said CVCAA will distribute the items to the Salvation Army and other warming centers. 

Needed items include:

• Blankets

• Towels

• Hygiene products such as deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo and feminine hygiene items

• Laundry detergent

• Shelf-stable snacks, including granola bars, fruit snacks and peanut butter crackers
