San Angelo Police to Conduct Multi-Agency Training Exercise Friday

SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Police Department will hold a multi-agency training exercise Friday, Jan. 23, in the 700 block of North Van Buren, featuring mock simulated gunfire and an increased presence of emergency personnel.

The exercise, which includes partnering agencies and the San Angelo Independent School District, is designed to enhance coordinated responses to crisis situations, police said.

Officials stated there is no threat to the public and urged residents not to be alarmed.

“This is only a training exercise and is being conducted to improve preparedness and interagency coordination,” the department said in a statement. “We appreciate the public’s understanding and cooperation.”
