San Angelo Suspends Trash Collection Monday Due to Icy Roads

SAN ANGELO, TX — Trash collection in San Angelo will be suspended Monday, Jan. 26, due to icy road conditions, with the landfill also closed that day.

Services will resume Tuesday, Jan. 27, with a late start, beginning with the normal Monday routes. All collection routes for the remainder of the week will shift back one day to maintain the schedule, and crews will operate on Saturday to stay on track.

The revised schedule is as follows:

  • Tuesday: Monday's routes

  • Wednesday: Tuesday's routes

  • Thursday: Wednesday's routes

  • Friday: Thursday's routes

  • Saturday: Friday's routes

The announcement comes amid hazardous travel conditions affecting roadways, overpasses, and bridges, which also prompted the closure of city offices on Monday. Offices are set to reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
