SAN ANGELO, TX — Bonham Elementary School marked its 40th anniversary Friday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the unveiling of a new painted sheep statue on campus.
The event, held at 2:30 p.m. at the school at 4630 Southland, drew students, parents, staff, alumni, and community members to celebrate four decades of student and community achievement.
The students pictured designed the shirts being worn for the event.
The fiberglass sheep statue was painted by Ashley Perales of Pop of Color. It features the school’s red, black, and white colors along with inspirational words and imagery reflecting Bonham’s values.
The project was supported by Bonham Elementary students, parents, and staff, as well as Downtown San Angelo, Inc., and the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce.
