SAN ANGELO, TX— The San Angelo Police Department is hiring lateral officers.
In a Facebook post, SAPD stated it's looking to hire lateral officer who are ready to make a difference in the community.
A lateral officer is an officer who moves from one department to another.
The post reads:

Current lateral officer pay:
- Basic - $65,725
- Intermediate - $73,589
- Advanced - $80,330
- Master - $85,948
