San Angelo Posts 99 New Oil Completions in June

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo area recorded 99 new oil completions in June, second only to the Midland district, as the Railroad Commission of Texas issued a total of 750 original drilling permits. 

The permits included 686 new oil or gas wells, 6 to re-enter plugged wellbores, 1 field transfer, 56 for re-completion and 1 reclass. 

The breakdown by well type was 146 oil, 60 gas, 496 oil and gas, 32 injection and 16 other. 

Commission staff processed 965 oil, 739 gas and 127 injection completions during the month. 

The Midland district led overall with 324 permits to drill new oil and gas holes, 300 new oil completions and 67 new gas completions. 

The San Antonio area had 115 permits, 20 new oil completions and 30 new gas completions. The Refugio area had 57 permits, 21 new oil completions and 26 new gas completions.
