SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts invites families to attend Family Day on Saturday, July 25.
It will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Education Studio, located in the breezeway at 1 Love Street in downtown San Angelo.
"This month's Family Day theme is Curious Collectors! Families will explore collections, treasures, curiosities, and the stories objects tell," SAMFA stated. "Spend the day engaging in some creativity and summer fun with hands-on art activities designed for all ages."
Family Day is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
Light refreshments will be available while supplies last.
Visitors are encouraged to stop by the Concho Clay Studio throughout the event for free drop-in clay activities.
In addition to art activities, guests can browse a free children's book giveaway in SAMFA's Grand Hall.
The books are generously provided by the San Angelo Adult Literacy Council and anonymous donors.
This summer, families can also enjoy a visit from the Mad Mouse Zoodio!
The Mad Mouse Zoodio is collaborating with SAMFA this summer to help provide the ultimate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) experience for young learners and artists, according to the press release.
Activities are subject to change, and additional surprise activities may be offered throughout the day.
