SAN ANGELO, TX – La Esperanza Clinic Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Rebecca "Becky" Brandon, MHA, BSN, RN, as its next Chief Executive Officer.
Brandon will begin her new role on December 7, 2026, succeeding Dean Munn, who will conclude his nearly eight-year tenure as CEO at the end of the year.
"The Board of Directors was impressed by Mrs. Brandon's combination of clinical understanding, operational strength, and a lifelong connection to our service area," said David Vessell, Chair of the La Esperanza Clinic Board of Directors.
Brandon brings more than 30 years of healthcare experience, including 18 years in senior leadership roles. She began her nursing career in San Angelo in 1990 and has since held leadership positions focused on improving patient care, strengthening healthcare operations and expanding access to services.
Since 2019, Brandon has served as Administrator and Director of Martin County Family Clinic in Stanton, Texas, overseeing a health clinic with 17 providers and more than 27,000 patient visits annually. During her tenure, she helped lead the planning, construction and opening of a 90,000-square-foot medical office building that expanded access to healthcare providers, walk-in care and additional medical services for the community.
Previously, Brandon served as Chief Quality Officer at San Angelo Community Medical Center, where the hospital achieved a CMS 4-Star rating, earned an "A" Leapfrog Safety Score for four consecutive reporting periods and received recognition from The Joint Commission as a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures for four consecutive years.
"I am deeply honored to join the La Esperanza team and lead our mission to reach every individual in our community, especially those who need us most. Providing exceptional care that meets patients where they are is truly at the heart of my passion for healthcare. I look forward to serving alongside La Esperanza's outstanding team and making a lasting impact together," said Brandon.
Brandon holds a Master of Health Administration from Ohio University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, magna cum laude, from the University of Texas at Arlington and an Associate of Science in Nursing from Angelo State University.
"Becky understands what it takes to deliver quality care in the communities we serve," said Munn. "She started at the bedside, and she has spent her career building strong teams and expanding access to care. I'm confident La Esperanza will continue to thrive under her leadership."
With Brandon's appointment, La Esperanza Clinic looks forward to building on its commitment to providing quality healthcare to San Angelo and the Concho Valley. Her experience in healthcare leadership, patient safety and expanding access to care will play an important role as the clinic continues to grow and respond to the needs of the communities it serves.
