San Angelo Stadium Set to Host Tonight's State Championship Game

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – San Angelo Stadium is set to host the 2020 Class 1A Division II state championship football game. 

San Angelo ISD set up a number signs to welcome the Balmorhea Bears and the Richland Springs Coyotes into the Stadium tonight for their championship matchup.

The highly anticipated contest was postponed last month after Balmorhea had a COVID-19 outbreak within the program.

The game will be a competitive one as the Bears have won 11 straight games and are ranked number one in the State of Texas.

Richland Springs has won nine state championships. They are the defending champions and are on a 26 game winning streak.
