Entire Lady Cat Basketball Team in Quarantine Following COVID-19 Outbreak

SAN ANGELO, TX – San Angelo ISD has confirmed that the entire Varsity Lady Cat Basketball team has been placed in quarantine.

The following is a statement from SAISD:

For the health and safety of our students and staff, the Central High School Varsity Lady Cat Basketball team has been placed on quarantine following protocols set by the health department, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and UIL Risk Mitigation Guidelines.

The next two week’s CHS varsity Lady Cat Basketball games will be rescheduled.  All sub-varsity games will be played as scheduled.  More information will be shared on new game times once further information is available for the varsity Lady Cats.

We remind our students, parents and staff to continue to self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms and not access any SAISD facilities if they have symptoms or if anyone residing in the household has COVID-19 symptoms to support efforts to minimize exposure and community spread.

We appreciate understanding of this highly sensitive matter and recognize the hard work of our student athletes. The health and safety of our students and staff is our top priority.
