Odessa Head Football Coach Reassigned

 

ODESSA,TX- Danny Servance, the head football coach at Odessa High School is being reassigned. This was confirmed by Bruce McCrary, the Executive Director of Athletics for Ector County ISD on Friday.

Dean Garza, the assistant head coach and offensive coordinator, will take over as interim coach for the time being. A committee from ECISD is going to lead the search for a new head coach.

Servance and the Odessa Bronchos 5-5 in 2018 but over the past three seasons was 7-20 overall and has been the coach since 2016.

Servance will finish out his contact at Lee Buice Elementary.

Earlier this week, former Head Coach of the San Angelo Central Bobcats, Brent Davis, left the position to coach at Gregory-Portland near Corpus Christi and Midland High reassigned their coach, Tim Anuszkiewicz, after a 1-8 season late last year.

All three teams are in the 6A Region 1 District 2.
