Brooks Brothers Dominate Hawley in 2AD1 Texas HS Football State Championship

 

ARLINGTON, TX -- The Shiner Comanches were crowned the 2021 Texas High School Football Class 2A Division 1 State Champions after defeating the Hawley Bearcats 47-12. Check out the action below: 

 

The main contribution in the win came from the Brooks brothers, Dalton and Doug. Combined the two had almost every touchdown, excluding two, for the Comanches and a total of 406 yards. Younger brother, Dalton, has offers from a number of D1 programs including Ole Miss and the University of Texas.

The Comanche defense also played well as they were able to force 4 turnovers which included 3 interceptions.

Despite the loss, Hawley had a few highlight plays including the 49 yard touchdown run by Diontay Ramon.

The Comanches finished their season 16-0 and are now 4 time and back-to-back state champions.

Eli Fric was named Defensive MVP and Doug Brooks was named Offensive MVP.
