Former Abilene Eagle Star Declares for 2022 NFL Draft

 

WACO, TX- A former Abilene Eagle has declared for the 2022 NFL Draft.

The 5th year Baylor running back Abram Smith (5’11”, 221 lbs.) has officially declared for the 2022 NFL Draft. Smith set the Baylor single-season rushing record with 1,601 yards and had 172 rushing yards against Ole Miss in the Sugar Bowl where Baylor won 21-7.

Abram Smith was an Abilene Eagle and in his senior season rushed for 1,773 yards and 32 touchdowns. Smith was a 3-star recruit coming out of Abilene.

Smith bounced around to linebacker before returning to running back for the Bears.

The senior has accepted a Senior Bowl invitation. The 2022 NFL Draft will take place in Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada. Smith projects as a mid to late round pick.
