No. 7 Angelo State Softball Ranked Third in South Central Region

 

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — The Angelo State softball team is ranked third in the South Central Region, according to the NCAA regional rankings released Tuesday afternoon.

UT Tyler holds the top spot, followed by West Texas A&M. The Rambelles are ranked ahead of Oklahoma Christian, Colorado Christian, Colorado Mesa, MSU Denver, and Lubbock Christian. Cameron and St. Edward’s round out the region’s top 10.

Angelo State (43-11, 34-10 Lone Star Conference) heads into the LSC Tournament as one of the top contenders. The Rambelles will face Eastern New Mexico in the quarterfinals on Wednesday at 11 a.m.

The NCAA Tournament field will be announced Monday, May 5, at 9 a.m. on NCAA.com.
