Wall’s Taylor Named Texas Tennis Athlete of the Year

 

WALL, TX — Wall High School’s Amelia Taylor was named the Class 1A-4A Tennis Athlete of the Year by the Texas Tennis Coaches Association.

Taylor won the Class 3A girls singles titles last month as a freshman with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Corpus Christi London’s Kailey Albrecht.

Wall head coach Kayla Parker was named the Class 1A-4A Coach of the Year after overseeing a program that qualified two other players for state.

Paul Nelson advanced in boys singles, while Katelynn Holtmann won a bronze in girls singles.

In the 5A-6A division, Round Rock Westwood’s Anwitha Duduka and Janya Tellabati were named the Tennis Athletes of the Year, while their coach, Travis Dalrymple, was named Coach of the Year.
