Disregarded Stop Sign Causes Crash in Residential Area

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A woman who disregarded a stop sign caused a crash in a residential area Wednesday afternoon.

The crash occurred at the intersection of West Avenue Z and Monterrey Street at about 4:20 p.m.

The woman was traveling east on Avenue Z in a Dodge Ram when she failed to stop at the intersection.

A Chevy Traverse that was traveling north on Monterrey slammed into the side of the Ram, causing extensive damage to the Traverse.

A child in the Traverse was checked out by medical personnel for precautionary reasons, but no one was injured in the crash, according to a traffic officer with the San Angelo Police Department. 

The driver of the Ram was cited for disregarding a stop sign.
