ASU's Guerrero Named Academic All-American

AUSTIN, TX – Angelo State outfielder Jacob Guerrero has been named to the Academic All-America First Team by College Sports Communicators, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.

An accounting major from Colleyville, Texas, Guerrero recently wrapped up his collegiate career with the Rams, finishing the season with a .401 batting average and a 1.113 OPS. He tallied 89 hits, including 19 doubles, four triples and seven home runs, while scoring 75 runs and collecting 52 RBIs while swiping 20 bases.

Guerrero, the Rams' standout left fielder for the past three seasons, is no stranger to recognition. A two-time All-American this season, he also earned spots on the Lone Star Conference All-Academic Team and the CSC Academic All-District Team.
