Former San Angelo Central Coach Named President-Elect of THSCA

 

SAN ANTONIO, TX — Former San Angelo Central football coach Brent Davis has been voted President-Elect of the Texas High School Coaches Association for the 2025-26 school year.

Davis, who is the athletic director at Gregory-Portland, coached at Central from 2009 to 2021. He had a record of 95-46 with the Bobcats and won six district titles and 10 playoff games.

Davis has also had stops at Alice, Banquete, The Colony, Sinton, El Campo, Fort Bend Kempner, Crowley, Cuero and Lewisville during his 38-year coaching career. 

He has a record of 226-120-1 in 30 years as a head coach.

Davis played college football at Angelo State University.
