WALL, TX — Wall High School senior Kellan Oliver has committed to play baseball at Odessa College.
Oliver, a 6-foot-2 outfielder, was the Hawks’ leadoff hitter during their state championship run last spring.
He had a .461 batting average with six doubles, two triples, two home runs, 46 runs scores, 15 stolen bases and 34 RBIs.
He drew a walk to lead off the state final against Thrall, and he later had a triple and a single.
As a pitcher, he had 24 strikeouts in 24.1 innings of work.
Oliver is also a standout receiver for Wall’s football team. He has 22 catches for 309 yards and four TDs in six games this fall.
Odessa College has a strong baseball program and went 40-17 last season.
