Savannah Bananas Announce Games in Texas

ARLINGTON, TX — The Savannah Bananas, a barnstorming baseball team known for its ridiculous rules, has announced its 2026 schedule, which includes stops in Texas.

The Bananas will play the Texas Tailgaters next year on Sept. 25-27 at the Texas Rangers’ home ballpark, Globe Life Field in Arlington.

Tickets will go on sale Monday, Oct. 20.

The Bananas and Tailgaters will also be facing off at Kyle Field at Texas A&M in College Station on May 2.

The opportunity to buy tickets are available through a lottery system that is open through Oct. 31.

The Texas Tailgaters, a banana ball team that played its inaugural season this year, will play home games next year at Riders Field in Frisco. The Tailgaters will play around the state, including in El Paso, Round Rock, Amarillo, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Midland and Sugar Land.

The Savannah Bananas are comparable to the Harlem Globetrotters as they’re built more for entertainment than an actual competitive game. They have unique rules, including no bunting or walks, along with the ability for fans to record outs by catching foul balls.
