2025 Doug McCutchen Basketball Tournament Begins Today in San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The annual Doug McCutchen Basketball Tournament will be held this week in San Angelo.

Some schools are still alive in the high school football playoffs, but for most of them, basketball season has already begun.

Here are the teams participating in this year's event in San Angelo:

  • San Angelo Central
  • San Angelo Lake View
  • Bangs
  • Canutillo
  • Plainview
  • Lubbock Estacado
  • San Antonio Taft
  • El Paso Ysleta
  • El Paso Del Valle
  • Monahans

The tournament runs from Dec. 4-6 at Central and Lake View high schools.

Here is the schedule:

Thursday, Dec. 4

At Central High School

  • 1 p.m.   San Angelo Central vs. Plainview
  • 2:30 p.m.   Canutillo vs. Lubbock Estacado
  • 4:30 p.m.   San Antonio Taft vs. San Angelo Central
  • 6 p.m.   Plainview vs. Canutillo

At Lake View High School

  • 1 p.m.   San Angelo Lake View vs. El Paso Ysleta
  • 2:30 p.m.   Bangs vs. El Paso Del Valle
  • 4:30 p.m.   Monahans vs. San Angelo Lake View
  • 6 p.m.   El Paso Ysleta vs. Bangs

Friday, Dec. 5

At Central High School

  • 10 a.m.   Lubbock Estacado vs. Plainview
  • 11:30 a.m.   Canutillo vs. San Angelo Central
  • 1:30 p.m.   Plainview vs. San Antonio Taft
  • 3 p.m.   San Angelo Central vs. Lubbock Estacado
  • 4:30 p.m.   San Antonio Taft vs. Canutillo

At Lake View High School

  • 10 a.m.   Monahans vs. Bangs
  • 11:30 a.m.   San Angelo Lake View vs. El Paso Del Valle
  • 1:30 p.m.   El Paso Ysleta vs. Monahans
  • 3 p.m.   Bangs vs. San Angelo Lake View
  • 4:30 p.m.   El Paso Del Valle vs. El Paso Ysleta

Saturday, Dec. 6

At Central High School

  • 9 a.m.   Lubbock Estacado vs. San Antonio Taft
  • 11 a.m.   Ninth place game
  • 12:30 p.m.   Fifth place game

At Lake View High School

  • 9 a.m.   Monahans vs. El Paso Del Valle
  • 11 a.m.   Seventh place game
  • 12:30 p.m.   Third place game
  • 2 p.m.   Championship game
