6 Concho Valley Girls Teams in State Basketball Rankings

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Six girls basketball teams from our area are in this week’s state rankings.

Wall leads the way at No. 2 in Class 3A with a record of 16-2. The Lady Hawks dropped from the top spot following their 48-35 loss to Canyon, which moved from No. 2 to No. 1 in Class 4A.

The Mason Cowgirls, who are off to an 18-1 start, moved up to No. 3 in Class 2A. They’ve won 10 in a row since suffering their only loss, a 44-38 setback against Ozona, which is ranked No. 16 with a 13-3 record.

Ballinger fell three spots to No. 10 after the Lady Cats dropped their first game of the season last weekend 46-28 against Bellevue, which is ranked No. 14 in 1A. Ballinger’s record is now 16-1.

Reagan County fell nine spots to No. 15. The Lady Owls are 13-3.

The only Concho Valley team in the 1A rankings is No. 13 Irion County, which is 12-2.
