Wall Girls Basketball Takes Down Three Top 10 Teams This Week

 

SAGINAW, TX — The Wall girls basketball team has been on a roll this week with three wins over Top 10 teams.

The Lady Hawks, who are ranked No. 2 in Class 3A, defeated Sunnyvale — the No. 4 team in 4A — 43-39 on Monday to begin play at the Championship Basketball Tournament in Saginaw.

Wall followed that up with a 55-37 rout of Paradise (ranked No. 6 in Class 3A) on Tuesday, then turned around and beat Brock 44-31 just hours later.

Brock is ranked No. 2 in Class 4A and handed Wall one of its only two losses earlier this year, a 46-37 setback Nov. 25.

Wall improved to 21-2 and has won nine games in a row, which includes a 66-40 win at Jim Ned to open district play.

The Lady Hawks will face another Top 10 team today when they take on Decatur, which is ranked No. 3 in Class 4A, at 3:30 p.m.
