EL PASO, TX — Former Angelo State quarterback Braeden Fuller announced he received an official offer from UTEP over the weekend.
Fuller visited El Paso last week to work out for coaches and impressed them enough to receive his first offer since entering the NCAA transfer portal.
UTEP competes in Conference USA and went 2-10 last season.
Fuller had a breakout season in San Angelo in 2024 when he was named the Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Year after leading the Rams to a 9-3 record and the LSC title.
He threw for 2,318 yards and 19 touchdowns with two interceptions, while rushing for 678 yards and 10 TDs.
He took a step back in 2025, however, and never seemed to completely get back on track after suffering a calf injury in Week 2.
In eight games, he threw for 1,050 and 15 TDs with four INTs while completing only 54% of his passes. Running is a big part of his game, and he was limited to 42 rushing yards and no TDs.
After a 4-0 start and climbing to as high as No. 6 in the national rankings, ASU struggled down the stretch and finished with a record of 6-5.
Fuller, who has one year of eligibility remaining, ended up splitting reps with Kaeden Smith, who also entered the transfer portal.
