SAN ANGELO, TX — The semifinals of the College Football Playoffs begin on Thursday night, kicking off with the No. 6 Ole Miss Rebels and the No. 10 Miami Hurricanes battling it out in the Fiesta Bowl.

Miami enters its College Football Playoff semifinal on a six-game winning streak after stunning defending national champion Ohio State 24–14 on New Year’s Eve. Ole Miss arrives with momentum as well, edging No. 3 Georgia 39–34 on New Year’s Day to earn its seventh straight victory.
The Hurricanes (12-2, 6-2 ACC) are 4–0 against ranked opponents this season, while the Rebels (13-1, 7-1 SEC) are 2–1 against Top 25 teams. Despite ongoing staff changes at Ole Miss, offensive coordinator Charlie Weis Jr. will remain with the team through the semifinal and will call plays for quarterback Trinidad Chambliss.
Kickoff at State Farm Stadium is set for 6:30 p.m. Miami is a 3-point favorite, with the over/under listed at 52.5 points. The under has hit in five of the teams’ combined last six games. In updated CFP futures odds, Miami sits at +340 to win the national title, while Ole Miss is the field’s biggest remaining longshot at +550.
