GLENDALE, AZ — It came down to the final seconds, but the No. 10 Miami Hurricanes held off a last-gasp attempt from No. 6 Ole Miss to claim victory in the College Football Playoff Semifinals on Thursday night, 31-27.
Miami's Carson Beck ran the football in from three yards out for the go-ahead touchdown with :18 remaining in the 4th quarter. Ole Miss used what little time they had remaining to push the ball past midfield, but a last-gasp Hail Mary from Miami's 35-yard line would not connect, and the Hurricanes claimed victory.

With all the pressure on, Beck led his team on a 15-play, 75-yard drive for the go-ahead touchdown. Miami had to spend timeouts inside the 20-yard line, but Beck still scampered into the end zone from three yards out to give the Hurricanes the 31-27 victory.
