Wall Boys Continue Climbing in State Basketball Rankings

SUGAR LAND, TX — The Wall High School boys basketball team continues moving up the state rankings each week.

The Hawks are up one spot to No. 14 this week in the Class 3A rankings after a pair of wins last week over Merkel (70-27) and Clyde (64-45).

Wall began the season unranked, but the Hawks have proved their case game after game, despite a handful of players joining the team late due to the football team's run to the state title.

Wall is now 20-5 overall and 4-0 in District 6-3A.

The Hawks will face a key district contest at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday at home against Jim Ned (17-6, 4-1).

Another Tom Green County school, Water Valley (10-2 overall, 4-0 in district), remained at No. 16 in Class 1A.
