PASADENA, TX — Colton Freeman, a former all-state center at San Angelo Central, has been officially promoted to head football coach at Pasadena Memorial.
Freeman served as the interim head coach last year at the Class 6A high school in the Houston area and compiled a record of 3-7.
Coming out of San Angelo Central, Freeman was rated the No. 26 center nationally by ESPN.
He started for the University of Houston as a freshman in 2015, but a career-ending injury pushed him into his coaching career early.
He worked as a student assistant and then an analyst at the University of Houston before beginning his high school coaching career.
