Texas Tech never trailed, built a 55-36 halftime lead and stretched the margin to as many as 30 points while extending its winning streak to four games and improving to 2-1 in Big 12 road play.
JT Toppin scored 22 points, with 13 coming in the second half after Baylor adjusted its defense, while LeJuan Watts finished with 13 points and seven rebounds and reached the 1,000-point milestone for his career. Watts entered the game with 996 points and finished 4-for-6 from the field and 5-of-6 at the free-throw line.
The Red Raiders’ 14 first-half 3-pointers broke the previous Big 12 halftime record of 12. Anderson and Atwell combined to go 13-for-16 from deep before the break, with Atwell scoring all 21 of his points in the first half.

Anderson’s eight 3-pointers tied for the second-most in a game in program history and were the most by a Red Raider since Kerwin Walton also made eight in the 2024 NCAA Tournament. Tech has now made 17 3-pointers in three games this season and has reached double figures from beyond the arc in 14 of 19 games.
Baylor (11-7, 1-5 Big 12) was led by Cameron Carr, but the Bears were unable to keep pace after Tech opened the game on a barrage from long range and led 25-10 midway through the first half.
