FAYETTEVILLE, AR — Former Angelo State quarterback Braeden Fuller has decided to play his final season for the University of Arkansas.
Fuller entered the NCAA transfer portal after a rough 2025 season in which he injured his calf in Week 2 and ended up splitting reps after returning.
He had a breakout season in San Angelo in 2024 when he was named the Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Year and led the Rams to a 9-3 record and the LSC title.
He threw for 2,318 yards and 19 touchdowns with two interceptions, while rushing for 678 yards and 10 TDs.
This past season, he was limited to 1,050 passing yards and 15 TDs with four INTs in eight games.
He also had only 42 rushing yards and was clearly held back by his injury.
After a 4-0 start and climbing to as high as No. 6 in the national rankings, ASU struggled down the stretch and finished with a record of 6-5.
Fuller will now join an Arkansas team that had a 2-10 record last season. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Floresville product will look to take over as the Razorbacks’ starting QB. He’ll return to Texas for two games — at A&M on Oct. 3 and at the University of Texas on Nov. 21.
Fuller also received Division I offers from UTEP and Bowling Green.
Kaeden Smith, who shared time at QB with Fuller last season, also entered the transfer portal but announced his decision earlier this month to return to ASU.
