ODESSA, TX — The Angelo State Rams snapped a three-game losing streak Thursday night, defeating the UT Permian Basin Falcons 91-80 inside the Falcon Dome.
Angelo State built control early, scoring 50 first-half points while shooting 66.7% from the field (20-of-30) and 7-of-13 from 3-point range. The Rams finished the game shooting 58.3% overall and knocked down a season-high 15 3-pointers.
Quadir Pettaway led all scorers with 22 points, going 7-for-12 from the field with all seven makes coming from beyond the arc.
Davon Scott added 18 points, while Jhordan Ryan recorded a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Ryan also blocked four shots as the Rams held a 34-30 rebounding advantage.
Zyon Little chipped in 10 points on a perfect 4-for-4 shooting night and dished out five assists. Jabbari Barry scored nine points off the bench, and Jordan Crawford finished with seven points and six assists.
With the win, Angelo State improved to 13-10 overall and 4-8 in Lone Star Conference play. The Rams return to action next Thursday when they host Western New Mexico.
