SAN ANGELO, TX — The college offers continue to roll in for highly regarded San Angelo Central offensive lineman Ethan Boyd.
In the last 10 days, Boyd has received three offers from NCAA Division I schools.
The first came from Oklahoma State on Jan. 27. Since then, he’s also had offers from UTEP and Georgia State.
Boyd was also visited recently at the San Angelo Stadium fieldhouse by Texas Tech offensive line coach Clay McGuire.
Boyd, a 6-foot-5, 300-pound offensive lineman, anchored the Bobcats’ offense last year to lead them to an 8-4 record and a playoff win.
He was described as a “bully blocker” by head coach Mark Smith.
Boyd earned first-team All-District 2-6A honors last year as a guard.
He first broke onto the scene as a sophomore and started all 10 games for the Bobcats, an impressive feat at the Class 6A level. He then started all 12 games last season.
He’ll be one of the top players to watch in West Texas during his senior season next fall.
